Door Creek Pharmacy

	Kevin Hoey, the owner and managing pharmacist of Door Creek Pharmacy, has been practicing pharmacy since he graduated from the University of Iowa in 1986. His interest in pharmacy first began in high school when he worked at a locally owned, independent pharmacy. Having grown up in a small town, Kevin and his wife Janell, Door Creek's business manager, had a long-time dream of owning a small town pharmacy and realized that dream in 1996 when they opened Door Creek Pharmacy.

	Crystal Slinker, a full-time pharmacist at the Cottage Grove pharmacy, is one of two pharmacists at Door Creek who have been trained in compounding. She is a 2000 University of Oklahoma graduate and has been with Door Creek Pharmacy since May of that year. She received her compounding training in 2001 at the Professional Compounding Centers of America in Houston, Texas. Her area of expertise, besides compounding, is in natural female hormone replacement therapy.

	Sheri Gehrke, a part-time pharmacist at Door Creek, first became interested in practicing pharmacy during high school when she had a job as a pharmacy technician. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1984 with a pharmaceutical degree and has since worked in Madison-area pharmacies, including Madison Pharmacy Associates and Prescription Pharmacy. After seeing articles about Door Creek's independent, community-based business in the local paper, she came to work for us part-time in 2000 so she could continue her career while taking care of her family and volunteering at her daughter's school.

	Wade Anderson, the managing pharmacist of the new Deerfield location, has been working at Door Creek since the spring of 2003. He graduated from University of Wisconsin's pharmaceutical program in 1996 and has been working in local, Madison-area pharmacies ever since. As someone who has lived in this area his entire life, Wade hopes to continue to provide a personal and personable atmosphere for Door Creek customers just like what he grew up with.

	Vicki Homburg and Sue Brown are both certified pharmacy technicians. They have both worked at Door Creek for over five years. Sue has been a technician for ten years and returned to the profession after taking a few years off to raise a family. Vicki is one of Door Creek's compounding specialists, having received training at the Professional Compounding Center of America in Houston, Texas.
